Create a short video that is experimental in nature and incorporates elements of speculation, fantasy, science fiction, or the surreal with live action footage. By using VFX, you will create a sequence that combines real and digital visual content in a convincing way. You should consider how practical effects and digital effects work together to create visual illusions.
Project 2 allows you to find and explore VFX and video production processes. Examples might be taken from Video Copilot Tutorials. Adapt and develop processes/effects for your own concept. It will not be satisfactory to simple reproduce a visual effects - it must be developed/remixed/explored with more depth and show your own/group creative/conceptual voice.
Your work may be done individually or in small groups. The project is intended to produce high quality video production with VFX that allows everyone to be deeply involved in the process or pipeline. You will be required to submit pre-production work and make revisions as you develop your video. There is ample time in this project for you to develop your understanding of VFX work with more depth, to revise, reshoot if necessary, and produce a polished video work.
Each team member will receive the same score, unless serious conflict is communicated to professor.
