Dynamic Type: Demo and Work Time
There will be a brief demonstration related to our tutorial assignment and your current animation exercise with dynamic type. It is meant as a way to connect some of the thigns we are learning and allow you the opportunity to incorporate new skills into your animation work flow. We will spend approximately one hour for completing the animation, rendering, and submitting a video. There will be an announcement and reminder for how and when to render/export your work.
Our exercise animation, once finished, should be sent to the Render Queue and you should using the Youtube HD Preset. Your file should be named:

During this time we will screen and briefly discuss the animated sequences submitted for our work focused on the expressive use of type in motion.
Visual Countdown Project Introduction & Examples
To introduce our first project for the semester, we will look at the project page, discuss the expectations and requirements for the project, review the dates and deadlines, and also screen some examples that relate to the project.
The first step in the project will be to create "Design Boards" for what you would like to create. Design Boards include visual information about what will appear in the sequence, how important frames will be composed visually, what colors typography or graphics will be used, and how the sequence will develop over time. Design Boards will be reviewed in class as part of your project process and development. With whatever time is left in the class session, you should begin this preliminary project work. There are a lot of ways to get started, but most importantly you should consider the following:
