Techincal and Skill Development Assignments

Illustration

This assignment will challenge you to create a drawing from observation and then transform it into vector graphics. The subject for your drawing should be "Two Shoes". Select something that fits that subject (like two of your favorite shoes for example) and then arrange them in a way that you can draw and sketch from observation. Draw in your sketchbook from observation. Then scan and use the drawing as a template for vector graphics illustration. To trace the drawing, use the Pen Tool with consideration for how it might show variety and personal style through modifications to size, brush, and brush profile. Use only black line on white ground. To complete your work, hide your source image and then export a PNG file for submission.
