Our discussion forum for this week asks you to reflect on the work of Motion Graphic work from David Fincher Films. We will spend some time in class reviewing and discussing some of his work as a group.

Tutorials: Revisiting Recent Assignments

Chapter 7: Rendering and Render Queue

As we move deeper into the semester, you may wish to go back over some of the assigned tutorials to. They are assigned to supplement our other coursework and often provide useful information about how to do important processes in AE.

In-Progress Critique

Today's in-progress critique and discussion will allow you to meet with other students in small groups for discussion. The critique group assignments will be given in class and will include students in both 388 and 488. There will be appx 3 groups and you will need to present and review each other's work during this time. Later, the professor will meet to provide individual feedback (this will be done over two class sessions if necessary). The in-progress critique is expected to take at least 45 minutes.

What to share in this critique:

Project Demonstration, Work Time, and Individual Feedback

During the remainder of the class session, you will be able to work on your project independently. The professor will work to meet individually and provide feedback and project assistance. During your work time, focus on developing your typographic layouts for animation. If you have not selected a monologue/text to animate, you are already a week behind and you will need to do that immediately. Using the earlier opportunity to share your preliminary work with other students, you should have some feedback to help you continue the project. A short demonstration and review for process will be given.
