In Progress Critique
At the beginning of class, design boards will be collected from the D2L dropbox. These documents will be displayed in class and we will discuss each concept as a group. Each student will present their project concept as we look at their design boards and then there will be time for the group to ask questions and provide feedback. Topics for consideration:
- What is the commercial about? References? (concept)
- How is the message different than a traditional commercial? (concept)
- What does the commercial look like? (content)(design)
- How are the elements animated? (content)(motion)
Work Session & Reminders
The remainder of the class session will be designated for Un-Commercial Project work time. Projects should be in progress at this point with a decision as to concept and subject of the commercial that will be referenced. Work should also be in progress as to generating the content you will be using. Depending on the project, there may be a lot of different ways to work and students should be focusing on what they need for their project. There are example commercials for the style and approach in the Un-Commercial Project Page and example commercials for motion graphic content in the Class 24 Page.
