Project 4 AS 488 MG Animation Studio II
Logo/Ident Bumpers
Develop a minimum of three iterations of an animated logo or branding bumper/ident for an existing brand. An ident bumper is a brief advertisement that focuses on the brand identity and typically appears between programs or at the beginning/end of a program, commercial, or film. The typical length for an ident bumper is between 2 and 15 seconds. Create three different versions of the same ident bumper and present them together in one motion graphics animation video.
Your Bumpers will include the following elements
- Selection of brand
- Development of original content in variety of media including video, graphics, design, and audio
- Well-developed relationship between audio and video elements
- Bumpers create strong motion design that reinforces brand identity
Requirements
- 3 X 10sec (appx) animations edited into one video
- Visuals create strong branding and brand identity
- Submitted as “lastname_bumpers.mov” or “lastname_bumpers.mp4”

It is also possible for a student to propose a different project to satisfy the 488 Project 4 requirements. Students that would like to do so should discuss this with the professor individually as soon as possible.
