Demo: Process Review
The basic for our Kinetic Type Project will be reviewed again in class. As you continue developing assets and begin animating, it is useful to consider the general process as a guide that can be adapted based on the content you are working to create.
Bonus Demo: "Hand Drawn" Effect
In contemporary motion graphics, there is a range of aesthetics that could be used. One recent trend has been to make artwork that is generated digitally but animated in a way that looks/feels like it was hand drawn. There isn't one difinitive term for this style of work, and it can be viewed in a wide range of examples. It can be generated for CSS animations, 3D animation modifiers, and more. We'll look briefly at an example of how this might be done in After Effects with an effect like "Turbulent Displace".
Project Work Time
Continue do develop your Project 2 animation. Focus on the following qualities:
A project draft is due during Class 16. There will be time for in-progress feedback and notes from the professor during our work sessions. If you have questions or need feedback, don't hesitate to ask. As you develop your sequence, make sure to play the animation back and possibly export draft versions so that you can see how everything is working.
