Project 3 AS 388 MG Animation Studio I &
AS 488 MG Animation Studio II
Infographic Visualization Project
Information Visualization is a field of study that focuses on the visual representation of abstract data or information. A simple example would be a bar graph used to visualize statistical information. In fields related to science it is common to use diagrams and images to help illustrate important concepts. The information presented could also be dynamic or interactive, which is made possible in the field of motion graphics. For our projects we will work in coordination with a "client" from the Behavioral Neuroscience area of Psychology. They have provided us some information such as general script, rough storyboard sketch, textbook examples, and other notes for use in developing our animations. We have already solicited a voiceover for narration. Students will generate illustrations, graphics, and text that can be used to reflect, visualize, and illustrate the scientific concept. Successful projects will visualize the concepts in a clear way while demonstrating an understanding of design principles and motion design. Students in both 388 & 488 will work on the same project and each student will work indepedently from the same topic.
