Class 26 In Class Drawing Assignment: Brushes
- Using Tablet and Pen when available
- Illustrator Document at Letter Sized Default
- Save and Name File
- "lastname_class26.ai"
- Draw from observation, Organic Form / House Plant
- Draw in sketchbook to warm-up, and as reference
- Draw with Brush Tool set to black
- Open 6D Wacom Brushes, or other Brush library
- Contour Line Drawing from Observation or Sketch
- Draw in Detail - inking (blacks)
- Can restart if needed
- Create a new layer 'move to back'
- Draw with Brush Tool in color
- Concentrate on control of physical pen and accurate drawing
- Contour shapes and switch to "Fill" vs. mark-making
- Save Regularly
- Completed Drawing "Save For Web" as PNG 24 Art Optimized

- Submit in dropbox by end of class
- Exercise will last for approximately 30-45 minutes
Project 4 Work Session
The rest of the class session is yours to begin and continue working on the project. The in-class work time available should be used for working on Project 4. We can work together in class on the project and you can get feedback or suggestions while you are working. You may need to continue your work outside of class in order get everything done. Although work sessions in class have been fairly flexible, you are expected to have something to work on during class - anything else would be reflected in your course participation score.
During Class 27 there will be an in-progress critique and discussion. For that day, you will need to have some of your work ready to share with other students. Consider working towards the following:
- Animation Preview: Title or Gameplay
- Several seconds of animation ready for others to screen
- Assets have been prepared and are being animated
- Storyboard or sketches for how you will continue developing
